On the first Thursday of each odd month (Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Sep, Nov) at 10:15 a.m. the Cemetery Project volunteers meet at the Genealogy Center to work on updating cemetery records in Kitsap County and enter the information in a database. The group also plans cemetery tours, which tell the stories of the early settlers of Kitsap County.
Obituary Project and Funeral Home Records Project
The Obituary Project and Funeral Home Records Project volunteers have completed their work and compiled the lists in databases for Kitsap County.
The School Records Project is currently on hold.
This is a very big job but when we are finished we will have searchable school records of early 1900s in Kitsap County. We need more volunteers to help with this task. This is a job you can do at home or in the Genealogy Center.
